What teams need in 07'

By NBarnett 1/16/2007

AFC South

Houston Texans:

CB - Dunta Robinson is a young promising star but they have nobody on the other side of the field.

S - Glenn Earl and C.C. Brown are average at best. There isn't a playmaker in the secondary besides Robinson so the Texans really need to address their secondary.

QB - The Texans seem like they want to go in another direction at QB and really nowhere else to turn. They could pick up a project QB on day 1 to develop for a year or two while Carr plays out his contract.

Indianapolis Colts:

DT - Cory Simon and Anthony McFarland are pretty expensive and with the Colts tight cap space someone may have to go. There is no depth behind them.

CB - Marlin Jackson might move to safety next year so adding depth would be key.

LB - Cato June is a free agent and Gary Brackett was even benched at one point. If they manage to somehow resign June, they still have a void on the strong site.

Jacksonville Jaguars:

QB - For whatever reason the Jaguars seem finished with Byron Leftwich. David Garrard didn't look much better either.

DE - Bobby McCray really stepped up this year but they need someone to compliment him on the other side.

LB - Mike Peterson is underrated and rookie Clint Ingram played really well on the strong side. But the weak side is the most impoartant and they need someone who can stop the run and blitz on that side.

Tennessee Titans:

DE - Kyle Vanden Bosch didn't have his best pass rushing season but that could be in part because of no compliment on the other side. Travis LaBoy is serviceable but they need another premeir pass rusher.

LB - Peter Sirmon is a free agent and they really could use a new guy in the middle. Both Keith Bulluck and David Thornton went over 100+ tackles but they could afford to get someone more consistant in the middle.

WR - Leading receivers Drew Bennett and Bobby Wade are free agents. Vince Young is talented but its important to get weapons around him so he can continue his success.
