What teams need in 07'
NFC East

NBarrnet 1/8/07

Dallas Cowboys:

OG - Tony Romo has struggled a bit at the end of the season, partly because he moves out of the pocket to advoid pressure. Keeping him in the pocket is key to the success of the Cowboys passing game and a big guard is just the ticket.
WR - Who knows if Terrell Owens will be back next season. Terry Glenn still has the talent but some durability concerns. Another WR would also give Romo yet another weapon on offense.
FS - Pat Watkins has a solid rookie season and may be the future but they really need someone who can cover from the safety position.

New York Giants:

RB - Well since Tiki Barber has moved on this is a no brainer. Brandon Jacobs might get a shot at the starting job but his size limits him. He also isn't a great receiver out of the backfield.
WR - Amani Toomer and Sinorice Moss were injured much of the season. Plaxico Burress failed to get to 1000 yards as well. Eli is a young QB who needs more targets around him.
CB - R.W. McQuarters and Sam Madison are in their 30s so they could really start to decline. Corey Webster is getting a little better but a long term solution is needed to replace the 2 current starters.

Philadelphia Eagles:

WR - Seems like every year it looks like the Eagles need a WR and every year they make due without bringing someone in or drafting one. Reggie Brown has taken the steps needed to get better but Donte' Stallworth is a free agent. Hank Baskett might be in line for more playing time but a steady WR would be a good addition for McNabb.
SS - With Michael Lewis being benched and likely gone after the season, the Eagles turned to Sean Considine. He played very well could be the guy for the future. But I'd still look for the Eagles to pick up a safety just in case.
LB - The Eagles really haven't gotten many big plays from their LBs. Jeremiah Trotter is steady in the middle but an upgrade on the outside might be in order.

Washington Redskins:

DE - For as much money as this team spends each year, they continually fail to fill critical needs. Finished dead last in sacks, they need a good DE who can get to the QB.
CB - Again, finishing dead last in INTs the Redskins desperately need help in the secondary. Carlos Rogers has made strides but Shawn Springs is nearing the end of his career.
SS - After signing Adam Archuleta to the richest ever contract for a safety, the Redskins took him out of the starting linep and he played sparingly the rest of the season. Troy Vincent wasn't much better either.
