Demand for mini cars are increasing in the US market

The trend of mini cars in the US is undeniable today and the demand is continuously on the rise and these are the types of cars that some automakers are taking up to the next level with more productions. The variations of these stylish mini cars are many and these are smart cars that have a great future in the United States because of the ease they provide. These mini cars have varied designs and patterns where some are golf cars and some are sophisticated versions like the electric powered shuttle cars. They are made to keep up with the traffic and are high powered electrics that evade crashes with inbuilt high tech applications and software.

These mini cars run on gas or diesel and are perfect for short distance commuting and are almost eight feet in length, hence the name small or mini cars. The efforts to build them are relatively smaller compared to normal cars and need about around 250 workers. This is a fast and booming industry which is doubling the production every year. Big companies like Gem and Ford are taking hold of the market and introducing new versions of mini cars and these are selling in the US like hot cakes. The basic idea is to provide consumers with a resourceful and alternative mode of transport for times when the usual vehicles become an excess for the journey.

According to the makers, it is the trip that is given priority and a change and not the vehicle in question. This minimalist trend of mini cars started when the wealthy locals of the towns went to play golf without taking their golf carts. This added as an entire modification to their standards of living and commute for short distance.  The next important escalation that Ford proposed for these mini cars is that the crash standards are lowered when cars are less than ten feet in length. They will launch new models for sale by next year and they will be verified as proper passenger cars.

The body of these cars is not typically made of metals unlike bigger vehicles and is made of heated up thermoplastic which is poured into a rotating hollow mold. Once this hot mixture cools down and the plastic hardens and takes the shape of the mold the doors and windows are carved out. The result of this process is a tough, sturdy, lithe car that is impervious to collision and impacts of any form. The final finish is not as glossy as well and has a soft matte finish because of the material.
